From A-Level Student to Durham Physicist

Jo is a Physics and Maths mentor at The A Level Club and is currently studying Physics at Durham University, where he is entering the fourth year of his integrated Master’s degree.

Known for his friendly and approachable nature, Jo combines outstanding academic achievement with a calm and supportive teaching style that helps students build both confidence and understanding.

With a strong background in Physics and Mathematics, alongside several years of university-level study, Jo is well placed to help students tackle challenging concepts, strengthen their problem-solving skills and develop effective approaches to learning.

Outside of Academics​

Outside of university and mentoring, Jo is passionate about music and regularly plays keyboard in pit bands for musical productions. He also enjoys playing tennis and values the discipline, teamwork and consistency that both music and sport require.

These interests reflect the same qualities he brings to his teaching: patience, attention to detail and a commitment to continual improvement.
